If you have any more questions please ask, I do better with a prompt. Lol.

• What genres do you write?

I do not have a set genre as of right now. I just got back into writing. I would like to write Sci-Fi and Horror.

• What do you like to read?

Informational texts that help improve my knowledge of a multitude of subjects I find interesting. Writing being one of them. I also enjoy some science fiction and horror reads. Currently reading The Hellbound Heart by Clive Barker.

• How long have you been writing?

Wrote a bit on assignment between 6th and 9th grade. After that narrative took to the wayside for more Critical thinking essays. Gotta love that education system... Been trying to write screenplays for about 8 months. And currently have a short story idea that I am working on alongside an audio drama I am trying to write for my partner and close friend to get involved in.

• Do you beta read?

I am going to guess that if I don't know what that is, I don't.

• Do you have any particular hobbies? Are you expert in any particular field or craft?

Nothing in particular. Jack of all trades, master of none kind of deal here.

Heya MrSneekz, welcome to AW.

Beta reading is when you take someone's manuscript and read through it to help them spot problems and work through issues. Most writers have a blind spot when it comes to their writing and we all have our strong and weak areas. Normally two writers will beta swap, so each gets a reader for their manuscript.

If you're interested in learning more about critiquing, there's a Beta Readers forum, and the Share Your Work forums for posting shorter work (like first chapters, first few pages, or short stories). It's password protected so search engines won't find your work and it doesn't count as "published". Posting your work publicly may exclude you from publication in some venues.

Enjoy your time here, take a few days to explore, there's a ton of stuff going on here.
