Does anyone else inadvertently read "2 hdc in st, 1 hdc in next 3 st" as "2 hdc in st, 3 hdc in next 3 st" or similar?

Any suggestions for how to resolve this issue?

I don't really have advice about misreading them. Except to go slow and read it more than once. Like the carpentry rule: measure three times and cut once.

And I think you'll just have to unravel the bad part and do over. Have done this more times than I'm willing to admit

Thanks, MM.

I've re-read the patterns and have gone slowly, and still the same issue crops up. It happens whether or not I'm alert; quite frustrating. And I've frogged the bad part(s) and have re-done them more times than I want to admit, too. Lol.

I did find a solution since posting, though: Write out longhand the part of the pattern giving me difficulty in a way I can understand it. So far it's working. More effort, but better than frogging and starting over several times. :)

Thanks for responding. :)
