RIP Rip Torn

There are few actors who manage to keep reintroducing themselves to new audiences decade after decade, but Rip Torn was one of them. Iconic in so many roles. I think I'll just sit here imagining him teaching "nerds" how to play dodgeball in eternity.

Seriously, though I'm sure I've seen him in multiple films, and though I cannot for the life of me recall a single one unaided by IMDB, how can one forget a name like "Rip Torn"? How genius was that choice?

-Outspoken wrd to civil rights and the anti-war movement.
-Underrated character actor later in his career with impeccable comic timing.
-Genuine wildman who got in a fight with Norman Mailer and bit a chunk out of his ear.
