Hello there!
It's been a while since I wrote an introduction but I'll give it a shot. I joined the Water Cooler in 2017 but am just now really exploring it. I like what I see so far and hope to be active going forward. My name is Brian and I'm a writer located in the U.S. in the state of North Carolina (thus my lame user ID!). I tend to focus on the genres of fantasy, science fiction, contemporary, and erotic romance but you never know what ideas will flow from my brain at times. I've been writing since I was in grade school, scrawling horrible stories in notebooks while my classmates doodled, and the obsession has grown as I've gotten older. I took my first dip into the submission side of writing in 2013 and managed to publish two stories in anthologies, one in the fantasy genre and one in the erotic romance genre, and submitted a few others with rejections. Life interrupted then and I stepped away from submitting, though I continued to write. I'm at a stage of life now where it's time to pursue the dream of writing steadily and after a lot of thought, I've decided to toss my hand in the ring of self-publishing, though I may also submit to traditional publishing markets too (though one can argue that self-publishing is the new "traditional" in a way). I look forward to meeting many of you over time and continuing this journey I've started.
Best,
Brian
