Skyrim for sure. Stealth archer, always.

The Sims 2 is probably a close second, just because I lived on it from ages 14-17. I had all the expansion packs and used the in-game story feature to craft elaborate, slow-paced family sagas. They weren't good but I learned how to do shot-reverse shot, which helped when I got to college.

After that, maybe Dragon Age: Inquisition. Not sure on the hours but finished it 3x. I feel sort of guilty now that I know how much developer burnout went into it, and how it wreaked havoc on Bioware, but I still love that game.

    Hmm.

    1) Guild Wars - over 10 years. Don't know exactly how many hours without logging in, but it's been a while.
    2) Dragon Age - played through at least four different times as different classes/races
    3) Final Fantasy XII (probably just beat out Horizon: Zero Dawn by a few hours)

Skyrim has caught quite a few of us

Then probably FFVI--when you're young and you have all the time in the world, you can really get a lot of mileage out of a game.

#3 would be WoW. MMOs are time sinks!

I must have spent literally months on The Sims 2 in my teen years. I'm glad Steam didn't exist back then to count my hours.

    Second is probably Minecraft.

I finally got Steam about two years ago and my biggest on there is Stardew Valley at about 700 hours.

HA! I remember that 'pesky mole cricket'. Last bug I collected was the bee. For me, completing the museum came down to one last painting, which took forever and many purchased forgeries.

If I had to pick three, they'd be, in no particular order: Perfect Dark, Pokémon Gold, Super Mario Bros.
In the beginning, there was darkness. And the darkness was without form, and void.

I don't play video games anymore, but when I did:

    1. Baldur's Gate + Tales of the Sword Coast Expansion (LOVED this.)
    2. Civilization 3-4. (So many good times.)
    3. Resident Evil 2. (I played all the different modes/viewpoints in the game.)
    4. Silent Hill 2. (Had to cheat and add a fourth. AMAZING game.)

    1. Friday the 13th on PS4 — my husband and I used to bond over murdering each other. A lot.
    2. The Witcher 3. So much to do in that game.
    3. Horizon Zero Dawn. Same as above, and also, beautiful story.

(This is all, if we're not counting the hours I put into Pokémon Silver as a kid.)
