Hello. I am a beginner writer and hope that I can utilise everything this forum offers to further my progress and actually get something published someday.

I wrote a fantasy romance a few years ago just for fun after taking a few creative writing classes and found it easy (89,000 words in under a month) but circumstances caused me to shelve it until last month. Now I have over 200,000 words––a trilogy in the making? Perhaps.

But I am a confessed pantser and have found that as you get older, trying to remember what the heck happened on page 47 when you are on page 397 can be a bit frustrating. A little research told me that outlining was the only way to go if I ever wanted to remember what I wrote and how the story was progressing at any given time. So I have been busy just writing an outline for now and reading how others do things on this forum.

The genre I write in is Romance: Fantasy, historical, and just plain romance in the 21st Century.

Other than romance, I like to read fantasy, horror, mystery, and sci-fi.

Hobbies? Crochet, reading, writing.
I have four chickens, a duck, two Shih Tzu's, a cat, and a canary. They may not help me write but they would make for some great short stories at some point. None of them are normal, as am I.

I'm a transplanted American on British soil. Lucky them. :snoopy:

So that's it. Me in a nutshell. Glad to be here. Hope to learn a lot and put it to good use.

I'm usually somewhere.
Welcome aboard!
I hope you find what you're looking for here and grow as an artist.

I'm jealous of your chickens :)
I've been meaning to get a few myself for some time now!

Actually, the duck is much more entertaining. She thinks she is the chickens guardian and protects them from crows. Once she starts talking to you, she never seems to shut up and loves to be picked up. But both are fun. Get some. All you need is a small yard or green space, a house, and some food.
