I finally found a community! Well outside of good ol' Reddit. Can't wait to start getting involved here.
I think many of you can attest to this, but I wrote a lot of silly stuff back when I was in elementary through high school: elemental fantasy stories, and surprisingly enough, a lot of roleplaying on the anime forum, GaiaOnline. Like a lot. I guess that's where I found my first actual love of writing.
It wasn't until about two and a half years ago that I started to get serious about wanting to write as a hobby and use it as a therapeutic outlet. But also realized it was the absolute worst time to do so considering I was halfway through my master's.
Right now, I have two WIPs - one a (maybe seven book) fantasy epic that I put on the backburner set to low. The other, my current WIP, is a techno-thriller set in the near future about AI, data, human augmentation, corporate espionage, and identity.
Outside of writing, I currently work as a systems analyst, a fancy term in my organization for webmaster.
I can't wait to start interacting with you all and thank you for reading
