Good day everyone,

I've been writing on and off for most of my life, but it's nearly always been for myself, and thus in a silo. Over the last couple years, I've been struck with the desire to develop this skill and turn it into something I can be proud of. In a perfect world, I'd love to monetize what I enjoy writing, but I'll be happy just becoming stronger. I don't have a lot of experience sharing my work, and so opening myself up to criticism brings with it some anxiety, but it helps to know that this community is respectful and constructive.

I've mostly worked with blank verse poetry, but lately have been focusing on short/flash fiction; I'm especially fond of allegories. Aside from writing, I enjoy powerlifting, gaming, and EDM shows/festivals.

A pleasure meeting you all, and looking forward to working together.

There's some very talented poets on here... and gamers!! (I'd watch out for the gamers -- you'll never get any work done. I mean, the sales didn't help: I've got Assassin's Creed, Odyssey to get through, now that Red Dead Redemption 2 is completed....).

plenty of folks here who are happy to help. I'm still a new arrival, too. If you're worried about receiving harsh critiques just let that be known if/when you submit. "Please be gentle" or something to that effect is all it would take.

I'm a lifter myself, I've always been a big guy so I guess strength came naturally to me, I wouldn't consider myself a powerlifter though haha, I love poems to but if I'm honestly mostly ones that you can rap to, I would love to read your works though!
