Google my given name and I disappear. Hence, the pen name.

I’ve been a tech writer, grill cook, brewer, voice talent and a project management consultant for Boeing. I escaped the latter with some of my soul intact. Idle hands were the writer’s tool and I started a simple cook book.

Strong drink and legal marijuana nudged that a bit and now I’ve got what I hope is an up-market romantic suspense novel.

I have yet to discover all that this forum has to offer to the first novelist. If what I’ve read so far is any indication, I’ll be here daily.

Welcome MontyBurr, fellow west coaster! I was in Seattle last week the weather was beautiful and I saw Mount Rainier on the Space Needle, against blue sky and a warm sun. The evevator guide said it only happens a few days a year, so I must be very lucky.

Yes, do jump in with both feet into the Lava!

other.
Had a roommate once who said "Mmm. Tastes like Long Pig" every time I cooked pork. I cooked pork less and less, being very suggestible. This inspired me to promise him he could eat one single limb if we never made it home on a very long, very stoned walk home. He was a good roommate, and it was the least I could do.

Welcome!

Thank you for making me feel welcome. Long pig tastes more of mature veal than pork. (I will not admit to personally dining on leg of Larry but have it on solid authority.)

Thanks for your welcome msg. Seattle is occasionally spectacular. I just wish it didn't smell of wee. I'm 26 miles east in a small hamlet along the Snoqualmie River made famous in Twin Peaks and Northern Exposure. It smells of Cows. Please continue spreading the notion of the rare beautiful day in Seattle. We're fit to burst at the seams.

Cook book to romance suspense novel that trajectory sounds...it sounds about right, actually LOL. I tried to write a literary fiction about OCD, I'm now writing a PNR with dragons and zombies.

Snoqualmie falls was absolutely breathtaking!

The falls can be something to behold. There is a trail that leads down to the river that is quite popular. There is another, less known trail to the river on the opposite side. My wife, Morticia, and I would occasionally pack a lunch down this trail and wave at the tourists on the opposite bank. My wife would invite them to cross over for a snack, using the boulders as stepping stones.

Memories of that family from Ohio floating down stream, shouting and flailing about still brings a smile, even through the mists of time. Thanks for bringing up the memory.

Welcome! Any chance your pen name was inspired by C. Montgomery Burns? If so, fair play. If not, I will still think of the Simpsons every time I see it ;)
