They're open to submissions from agented and un-agented writers.

Subbed first three chapters and synopsis online 2/23.

Fingers crossed. :)

What makes you think they can sell good numbers of your book to readers?

Just an FYI - Their books are listed at Ingram for bookstores to order, but they have a short discount and are non-returnable which means that they are unlikely to be on very many bookstore shelves. They may have other wholesaling or distribution in place but I can find no evidence of it. Given the size of their catalog I can't imagine that they are doing a lot of wholesale nationwide themselves.

I did notice on their website that a few of the stories they've published in their anthologies were chosen for the 'Best American Mystery Stories 2018' anthology. The anthology is part of an annual series put out by Houghton Mifflin, using really good editors, and it's a pretty big deal. So kudos for that. I'm guessing their goals are modest and they do what they do pretty well, but they may not be the place to go if you want your books out there far and wide. Perhaps they are aiming for that by publishing novels now, but I don't know.
