Oh, man... a half hour just whizzed by me. Bonsai, 1898! E-book, 1998.

Thanks. Bookmarked.

Bookmarking that site! Thanks. :D

OTOH, not exploring it now; I'll get nothing else done. Lol!

Not where you last saw me.
Oh, wow! One of my favorite and most-used words: brainpan (before the 12th century). I had no idea the sucker was that old.

I could get lost there; send Diet Cokes and chocolate if you don't see me for a while.

Also bookmarking. Thank you!

Ha! That's all my "witty" birthday cards sorted out along the lines of "1985 gave us IP Address, statin, sexual predator and you!"

What a great find, thank you for sharing.

(I shall now try to get some work done...!!!)

I looked up the year I was born. Apparently I'm as old as needle-nose pliers, motherboards and lacto-vegetarians. Now I wonder if amoxacillin will treat cryptosporidiosis, or if my dominatrix is a homophobe who practices primal scream therapy.

Wow, it took 10 years from the book's publication for the term "catch-22" to be added.

Well! The year I was born gave us anchorperson, bag lady, blaxploitation, heterosexism, and - astonishingly - woke. Yes, woke, in the sense that is so common in 2018, meaning conscious of matters of social justice; that’s recency illusion for you.

I was born in the year of:

hoodies (hell yeah!)
geeking out (sounds about right)
Internet service provider, World Wide Web, cryptocurrency, malware, and spam (nice to know both malware and spam have been around since the birth of the WWW)
props (as in "I have to give you props for knowing how to code malware when the average person is just learning what the internet is.")
demonym (really thought that word was older)
chyron (wonder what they called it before)
McMansion (McDonalds ruled the world even then)
twentysomething (such an annoying word that I thought a younger generation came up with it)
shout-out ("Shout-out to all my twentysomethings!")
tighty-whities (You're kidding me, right?)
gene editing and intelligent design (irony?)

OMG. I was born the year that "birth control pill" entered the language. Surely there's no connection???
