I'm writing a sci-fi and fantasy novel about a protagonist searching for a place to belong. Davina finds a magical suit at the bottom of a rarely swam in lake. Various factions come to claim the suit. The journey is about trying to find her way back home, and if she ever wants to. She meets a diverse cast of characters caught up in interstellar warfare, all of whom possess magic. She unlocks her own magic on her route to self-discovery.
I enjoy reading science-fiction, fantasy or romance [not erotica] depending on the mood. I generally dislike physical horror (loss of limbs, gratuitous death) but like psychological horror (think more Broken Window). I'm a female rapidly approaching my mid-thirties. I'm open to critiquing almost anything that I would naturally read.
