It’s not just the (presumably accurately-reported) 5-gallon word-salad spewing from the man’s salad-hole. It’s the stagey way this entire thing was conducted.

How can self-respecting adults put up with being expected to behave this way? I mean, these aren’t desperate people working minimum-wage sweatshop gigs to make ends meet. These are people who almost certainly will move on to high-six-figure lobbying gigs, so why continue to do this??

In this reporter’s shoes, by the end of this I’d be wary of being shown any large pods... I mean, normal people don’t behave like this, do they?? Are they lizard people wearing human skins??

My Private Oval Office Press Conference With Donald Trump, Mike Pence, John Kelly, and Mike Pompeo

New Yorker said:
There’s always chatter about who could replace Kelly. This has been unchanged by the White House’s decision to claim that Trump has asked him to remain in the job through 2020. Trying to predict the outcome is a fool’s errand. Trump’s decision-making style is such that, up until the moment something begins happening, you can’t trust that it’ll happen. “Dumb luck” was the phrase one administration official used to explain Kelly’s endurance. The president can only focus his anger or frustrations for so long before he moves onto the next thing. Meaning, if someone is plotting to get rid of Kelly, convincing the president to concentrate on the idea that he’s a problem matters more than whether or not he actually is a problem. This is where Kelly is helped by the fact that his enemies are even more inept than they believe he is. “When the president says, I need you to leave, Kelly just ignores him,” the administration official said. “I think the president just doesn’t know who to call to fire him. Normally if the president wanted to fire somebody, he would call Kelly to do it. But there’s nobody else to call.”

That, I must admit, is a perfect blend of hilarious and horrifying — call it hilorrifying. And from what has been previously reported about Mr. You’re Fired!’s famous buck-passing when it comes to firing people, believable.

What a strange time we live in.

More surreal? How about this one:

Kanye's monologue leaves Trump speechless
https://www.cnn.com/videos/politics/2018/10/11/kanye-west-trump-lunch-meeting-sot-vpx.cnn

Why the Kanye West-Jim Brown lunch with Trump was a disaster
https://www.cnn.com/2018/10/11/politics/kanye-west-jim-brown-donald-trump/index.html

Imagine this: A president, concerned about the opioid crisis that is ravaging many communities, particularly white, Midwestern communities, invites a retired football player and a famous musician to talk about the crisis. And imagine that this is one of the few high-level meetings he has about the crisis, which has led to the deaths of tens of thousands of Americans.
{...}
Here are some ideas West raised:
  • Bring Trump factories and Yeezy ideation centers to Chicago.
  • His MAGA hat makes him feel like a superhero.
  • Make the dopest ... no the "flyest" cars.
  • School is boring. Kids should play basketball while they are doing math.
  • Time doesn't exist.
  • Stop worrying about the future. We only have today.
  • Trump and Colin Kaepernick wearing "Make America Great" hats at the Super Bowl.
  • Stop-and-frisk is bad.
  • The solution to police brutality is love.
  • Something about an Iplane.
  • Opening up industries and tax breaks.
  • Something about liberals distracting black people by focusing on racism.

Kanye West. Taking the spotlight away from Trump with nonsensical ramblings. In the Oval Office.

Meanwhile you have thousands of lives that have been shattered in and around the panhandle.

Now THAT's surreal...

Everything about this Presidency is surreal. For me, nothing beats that amazing Cabinet meeting he held in the summer of 2017, where reporters were present but forbidden to ask questions, and the cabinet acolytes just sat around gushing about how wonderful a President Bone Spurs was, while he sat there with that idiotic clenched-lips grimace he employs for a grin. It was nothing short of Theater of the Absurd.

Every damn day, it's something with this presidency. Every. Damn. Day. It's beyond surreal the stuff that goes on (what he says, what he does, his policies etc etc) but what's even more surreal is that he still has people who approve of him. If this was a sit-com, it wouldn't be amusing, but when it's real life, its terrifying.

As for Kanye, what the hell is wrong with the people who love him? He is clearly not well, this display should not have been aired.

Donald Trump is what happens when White meets Trash and people confuse a brand with a bum who has declared corporate bankruptcy four times, burned through two wives and is on his third while all the time screwing around with pornstars, Playboy models, and putting his hands, lips and other body parts on any woman he takes a fancy to.

Why would anyone expect anything but a shitty presidency from such a shitty person?

Kanye West is just a sad case. His beats ain't been hittin' and his fading star has descended while his "celebrity" wife has surpassed him in popularity and wealth. All we're seeing is an aging rapper desperately trying to stay in the spotlight. One way to do it is to court controversy and what's more controversial than President Pussygrabber. I've seen this sort of schtick done before.

It was an act of Uncle Tomming when Sammy Davis Jr. did it with Tricky Dick and it's still an act of Uncle Tomming when Kanye West does it with Dirty Don. Sucking up and kissing the ass of White men is the sort of thing confused Negroes do. They're been so long in The Sunken Place down looks like up.

Same shit, different flies.
