About: "[From] author George R. R. Martin's 1980 sci-fi/horror novella—and subsequent 1987 feature film adaptation—is the inspiration for this new Syfy series, reportedly the network's most expensive show to date. Set in 2093, the show follows the crew of the most advanced spacecraft ever built as it heads to the edge of our solar system. What awaits them there is bloody, creepy, and horrific—but also much less campy than the 1987 movie. (Several writers who saw the first footage unveiled at Comic-Con compared it to The Shining.) The cast features Gretchen Mol, Eoin Macken, David Ajala, and Brian F. O'Byrne, and the series is being helmed (after a last-minute showrunner change) by TV newcomer Jeff Buhler, who also penned the adaptation. The unconventional rollout will see new episodes air across five consecutive nights this week (and again next week beginning on Sunday), while all 10 episodes will also be available to view immediately beginning tonight on VOD and online at Syfy's website."

NetFlix:

Oct. 26 - Castlevania, Season Two (Trailer)

CW:

Oct. 14 - Charmed & Supergirl
Oct. 15 - Arrow & Constantine: The Legend Continues (Animated, TV series; blurb video)
Oct. 22 - DC's Legends of Tomorrow
Oct. 25 - Legacies

About: "It's a spinoff from The Originals, itself a spinoff from The Vampire Diaries (which, in turn, was based on a series of novels). Like The Originals (which just wrapped up its final season), Legacies comes from Julie Plec, and it centers on the next generation of supernatural beings, who are attending The Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted. Danielle Rose Russell reprises her role of Hope Mikaelson—who is the lead character here—while Matt Davis, who played Alaric Saltzman on both previous shows, also stars. (His character's twin daughters are also characters in the new series.)"
