The most difficult part of blogging...choosing a topic. I don't have a personal blog. I'm a content marketing specialist for Skutchi Designs, https://www.skutchi.com/. Meaning I write blog content, outreach, guest post, and manage social media accounts. Choosing a relevant and interesting topic is always a challenge. What are everyone else's processes for deciding what to write about?

I would never suggest this for a personal blog (for those, my suggestion is pretty much: write whatever you care about), but since you mention content marketing, do you ever do keyword research? That's a good way to find topics that readers are actively searching for, as well as ones that you'll have a real shot at reaching a large reader base through.

I write about three times as many posts as I publish. What goes public is what I think is most concise, in line with the themes of my blog, and relevant to online discussions. That last part is tricky, though.

In your situation, wouldn't responses to your company's social media give you a clue about what your target audience wants?
