I have cerebral palsy, and my speech is poor. Is there any point in me considering a nonfiction project if I can't really do interviews, give lectures, etc.?

You don't have to do interviews or give lectures. Do your thing on your own terms. So go write and go get published! :hi:

Yes, if you have the skills and knowledge to write the book.

And these days, a heck of a lot of interviews are in written form; it's not a big deal.

Absolutely!
I wouldn't hesitate for a reason like that.
First, you have to be super successful first to even be asked for a live interview - so let's not get the cart in front of the horse.
Second, virtually all promoting is done from a laptop, much like writing a book.
Third, depending on your manuscript topic, a personal challenge such as Cerebral Palsy could give you added credibility.
