Hey all! I'm working on my first ever comic script and I had a quick formatting question -

A lot of the text in the story comes in the form of a series of letters from the MC to his wife while he carries out his day.

How should I write this? Like:

JACK (Letter)
[TEXT]

or

JACK (Narration)
[TEXT]

Or something else? Thanks!

JACK (Letter)
[TEXT]

Would give the illustrator the clue to make the panel look like a letter, instead of just Jack's thoughts, or narration over the story panels.
Or at least that you intend it to be a letter, if he wants to start/end as a letter, and illustrate events in the middle.

Any way you like, as long as it makes sense to whoever has to read it.

Letter page format:

My dear Gwyneth, how are you?

All my love,
Jack

Letter ends.

No. I suggest downloading Unbreakable Script by M. Night Shyamalan. They have a text in there of how to write it. It's the best solution of how to write a text in a script.
