Reboot -- if you can go to settings and it has box reboot, try that. If it's not there or doesn't work, try holding the power button until it reboots, or just unplug it, wait 10 seconds and replug.

What Cornflake said. I have a Skybox and sometimes it locks up and refuses to accept commands. Pulling the plug is often the best solution.

The other thing I would ask is whether the batteries are still good in your remote. It is also possible for them to be slightly dislodged if the battery cavity allows them to move around too much, so you might try looking at that, too.
