I had a lovely birthday, for the record. Mr. Maryn refilled my coffee without being asked (gasp!) and we joked that I'd better not expect that every day. In the evening we went out to dinner, came home for presents (good presents!) and a teensy cake. It was early so we opened a bottle of wine and played with one of my gifts, a Roku that let us access new-to-me programs.
There is always a price, but Tums and a poor night's sleep is affordable, right?
