Location
Port Orchard, Washington
long rock
jetty
sun boat
sailing on
blue dreams
deep pink at dawn
wind
shifting oars to bend
grass
dunes
capable of
a walking hill
in the dawn light
of leisure
wating for
every boat's hope
of unfurled sails
sailing on
obedient seas

this is how
the day
lives
viewed
from dunes
or jetty
a passing
of sky
moments
and clarity
summers
going by
yet not forgetting
the residue
of winters

costals
appearing through
the sea mist
distant
reveals
harbors
before the sun
takes them away

walking over the hills
wandering
tranquil
distracted only by menus
of what to see
street signs
stop lights
shadowed with envy
of
the shell eloquent
domain
luminous prowl
of sea going
vessels
sea bird's dreams
and haunting calls
to mates

in this
plum wine
dusk
a thousand sails

I am summoned
every day
to the jetty
the walking hills
and dunes
gull cries
traveling wings
of stormy petrels
the always new view
phenomenon
of cirrus clouds
floating like feathers
over
the sail boat's
unfurled dreams

To be on the open sea...Such a remarkable feeling. You have a great knack for creating excellent imagery! I like more rhyming in my poems, but you succeed in telling a story without. Bravo
