What is the Subscription-to-Thread feature maximum?

There isn't a hard number; but it is a burden on the server so we do ask people to be considerate.
Please weed out those threads that you aren't actively following, because subscribing to them means that the the thread is checked.
I'd like to not have a fixed number, to allow some leeway.

Will you send a PM if we get too many? I have 4 at the moment. Can I clear them out at every 10 or 15 (temp store till I have time to archive to a database stored on my local system)?

I absolutely would send a PM if I noticed a problem. But 4 is nowhere near a problem.
As a general guideline, the last two people I asked to please remove the ones that they weren't following had almost a hundred, and almost a thousand.
