Hello all,
I'm joining because, like you (I assume), I want to find more writing friends and partners, and it's refreshing to sometimes break out of a funk and read others' posts about shared struggles. I finished my MFA in writing about a year ago, took a teaching position with middle-school kids, and I've finally gotten back on track with writing on a regular basis now that summer is here.
A little about me and my writing: I love dogs more than people (cats are okay, too), I love writing while sitting on my patio watching the birds and squirrels in my yard, and I write a variety of things--anything from short stories to novel projects, from realistic literary fiction to YA fantasy. It just depends on what idea catches my interest the most. Currently working on revising a few short stories and starting a novel project.
So...that's me, and I hope to hear more from you. If you're looking for a critique partner, please message me. Having been through the MFA experience, taught creative writing workshops, worked as fiction editor for a literary journal, and interned at a literary agency in NY, I definitely have some background with the editorial/critique side of writing. Happy to share thoughts on any of those experiences as well!
