This might seem like a small accomplishment but to me, it means such a big step forward for my writing. For the longest time, I had only been using pronouns to distinguish my characters because I thought giving them names was troublesome (since research and never finding the right name) and would mean I'd be attached to the WIP.

I also only wrote 100-200 word stories to keep my practice up and never any longer. But for the last few days, I might have written around more than a thousand words total for three different WIPs. And for the first one, I had finally given my protagonists names. It feels like such a victory that I felt I needed to share it everywhere I could.

It honestly made me fall in love with writing again.

Amazing how the little things can make such a big difference.

The flashfic exercises are also a good idea for any of us - very little time commitment, but keeps the writing muscles oiled.

Enjoy the freeflowing words while they're comin'!
