Cover Letter Vs. Query Letter

Thanks Laurasaurus and Bufty. I'll stick to my plan, but I will take lots of care to be brief!

Ok, so query letters and cover letters are definitely different, thanks for the clarification, I'm new to submissions and really wasn't sure. 65 words, eek, I shall look at giving my current cover letter a good trimming.

So I just tried to write a very short cover letter and realised that 65 words gives me about 4 lines, so I'm guessing that just refers to the describing the story part of the cover letter Still, it was an interesting exercise, turns out I can write a four line description of the plot, I hadn't thought it possible. Now to work on making those four lines a hell of a lot more compelling...
