Nobody has yet mentioned it, but R. Lee Ermey died on the same say as Harry Anderson. Ermey had one of the stranger career arcs to becoming a notable actor, having been a Marine Corps Drill Instructor, and chosen from a tryout to be the D.I. in Stanley Kubrick's classic Vietnam war movie, Full Metal Jacket. He was perfect for that role, and got an Oscar nomination, as I recall. He went on to a number of other notable movie roles, particularly that of the cowardly racist mayor in Mississippi Burning. By all accounts a very nice man in person, despite his often gruff acting persona. The confrontation he has with the young Vincent D'Onofrio in FMJ is an unforgettable movie scene.
