As per the heading: if i've got a sequence set inside a car but it cuts between varying locations whilst staying inside with the characters, how do i do it? do i just describe the change or should i add a slug? It doesn't seem right you use an EXT. slug though, given i'm not moving outside the car.

TIA

If I had to do that, I'd maybe write something like,

INT. MIKE'S PORSCHE - NIGHT (MOVING)

Driving through the city streets.

MIKE
Conversation?

BOB
Don't mind if I do.

They pass the PINK FLAMINGO NIGHTCLUB.

MIKE
You will never find a more wretched
hive of scum and villainy.

BOB
Don't I know it.

They pull up outside the POLICE STATION.

...with more detail as needed throughout, i.e. what they see outside the car.

Good advice, except that it should be:

I/E. MIKE'S PORSCHE (MOVING) - NIGHT
