I've been in the editing stage of my novel for what feels like *forever*. I've gotten some great advice here on the website and have decided to put the novel away for a bit, having found 4 beta readers in a Facebook group I'm a part of. I just got my first response back from a quick reader, while she found stuff that could be changed, she LOVED the overall first half of the novel, and I can't even explain the happy dance I am doing right now!
As big of an achievement as actually writing it was, the joy I'm currently feeling about someone LIKING it is over the top! I'm going to have to let this ride for a moment, close my email, and not look at anything else for a week while I smile like a fool.
