Well, I'm happy Shane Smith is stepping away, and maybe you can make the argument that the brand has matured since the early 00's. But I still have a hard time taking VICE seriously, there's a whole bunch of stink on them that won't wash off easy. I find their new 'official voice of the #resistance' posturing particularly galling, like no one can do a Google search on their history or Gavin McInnes' role as a founder.
But, well, who knows? They have been capable of decent journalism once in a while, and maybe Dubuc's relative dullness compared to Smith or McInnes can even be a good thing.
