Recently I had one of my characters interviewed on Lisa Burton Radio, a blog written as a radio interview with characters. You can see that interview here to get an idea of what the blog is all about: https://coldhandboyack.wordpress.com/2018/02/01/small-town-murder-on-lisaburtonradio/

I don't know what impact this had on my sales (I didn't see any huge bump that I can tie to it, but I haven't received a royalty check for that period either, so I can't say for certain there wasn't a bump), or what it does for other authors, but it was a fun experience; well worth the time spent.

Anyway, I saw on Twitter today that they're looking for guests: https://coldhandboyack.wordpress.com/2018/03/03/an-open-invitation/ so thought I'd post this for anyone who might be interested.

I wanted to do it too, but I was rejected for not having my books in English - the interviewer felt it was a loss of his time. Which is, of course, a legitimate opinion, no matter that I don't believe, like him, that my characters have no interesting story to tell.

This gave me another idea - based on the character and writer interviews I used to do some years ago for featuring monthly the newest or most interesting characters in the interactive story (RPG) I have been writing. Those were well received by my writing partners and by fans of our seafaring stories.

For my historical novels, a classical interview with an old chronicler is more appropriate than a radio interview with a robot lady how Lisa Burton Radio was. And I can write them on my own blog, not depending on anyone, when I have time. Hopefully the readers would consider them interesting insights into the characters' extras...
