I have a short story that was accepted a couple of years ago to be presented at a prestigious art museum for a spoken word performance (the one-and-only the highlight of my writing career so far). It was never printed anywhere, just performed once. I stumbled across it the other day and realized that I could be submitting this story, I think.

Two questions:

1. This wouldn't count a a "reprint", correct? Most markets that I want to submit to don't accept reprints.

2. Should I include this fact in my cover letter? Either to make an impression, or to cover myself in case they get upset later that this was already used somewhere?

This probably won't count as a reprint, but you might as well mention it in the cover letter.

It probably won't hurt or help one way or the other.
