Hi all, I'm new and have a big obstac...opportu...obstatunity (ouch, sorry for that). I need to 'flesh out' (d'oh) the zombie piece I did for NaNo in order to make it marketable for the Sci-Fi world, and while I know there's plenty of character and world development needs, I'm daunted by the task of ramping up the word count! Here's hoping the new content blends right in with the punk roller derby chicks and the council of the undead. My goal is to add 30,000 words by the beginning of June. If anyone else has gone through something similar, I'm all ears for suggestions!

A little late, I know, but my two cents is this-- quality over length! Yes, the word count expectation for certain genres (science fiction and fantasy particularly) may be a little longer than others, but be careful you don't pad a little too much-- and dilute your best writing!
