I am going through and doing a line edit on my novella. It's taking a while, but I know I can get through it. Also, I'm saving money for a professional edit, which is going to take a while, but that means that it will be the best it can be when I send it off (for him/her to butcher it). XD

I'm totally here for this! Self-editing is my absolute weakest area. It's my Achilles Heel that requires just a poke rather than an arrow to take me down.
Much like my progress with structure and character arc, I want to research more on how to self edit. I also want to start saving up for a professional edit or...maybe even two. *Gasp.*

Same here! I'm in the middle of my second draft revision. I'm trying all the tricks, but no matter what I know there will be grammar problems. It feels never ending.
Good luck on the efforts! Even though it is daunting it ALWAYS feels good to know it is better after you make edits.
