My picture book is going to Bologna!

My picture book (all 660 words - count 'em! Pictures too!) is going to be traveling to the Bologna Book Fair. I've just sent off the final (probably) pdf of the rough drawings and the text file to my agent, and I'm now trying to convince myself that they're not just being nice, and they wouldn't take something they didn't think was good enough. What if it doesn't sell? What if it does?

It's taken at least three failed ideas taken to the stage of pencil roughs before I hit something that has a chance of being publishable, so I'm crossing fingers that this will take off.

I've eaten two lunches by accident today, so I can't tell if that feeling I've got is excitement, mild terror or just indigestion.

Do you speak Italian? Is the book in English or multiple languages?

It's in English. Alas, I only speak adequate-ish French, although wherever I'm on holiday I fairly rapidly pick up enough of a language to ask for a beer. It's a gift.

Bologna in an international fair, though, and (I think) the main trade fair specialising in children's books, so I'm hoping that it will find a place with one of them.
