Submitted query after long hiatus

It's been 2 1/2 years since my last depressing foray into submitting anything for publication. On Friday I weakened, and made a submission to an agent. Query, synopsis, first three chapters, as requested. I anticipate never hearing anything back, which might be better than getting yet another request for a partial, followed by a form reject, which is my most common experience. But at least I did submit something.

I submitted my first-ever query a couple weeks back. It's exhilarating and terrifying.

I'm sure it becomes depressing once rejections start piling in.
