That's 177 more words than when you got up. Sounds like a win to me!

Got notes back and am doing revisions (up to page 88) on the book coming out in July from Book View Cafe. Maybe I'm weird, but while I love doing revisions, I also find them utterly exhausting.

Marissa, thanks, you are so right. And you're not the only one exhausted by revisions. Typically after I turn in a book to my editor, my brain is mush for at least a month. Maybe longer. Hugs.

625 words tonight. :D

Incremental progress on the chapters from me, not really worth reporting. I did bash out a draft query for kicks on the plane yesterday, so that's at least not a waste of time.

OH HAI I've been horribly neglectful of this thread, while you guys have been burning up the page!

The good news is I've reworked a part of the MS that wasn't working, and I'm so much happier with it now. The bad news is this isn't the part of the MS I thought I'd have to rework. That bit's still ahead.

Well, progress is progress. :)

Ah, Marissa, I know how you feel. You'll get through.

And well done, Saoirse! Hope today went well.

I was ready to report a big fat 0, and then I figured out a fix to a storyline problem, so I'm still reporting a big fat 0 but I'm happy anyway. :D

Liz - Storyline fixes count! Yay!

244 words last night. I've got a huge freelance project I'm working on, so I barely squeezed the words in. Better than nothing, though. :D

244 words--again, it's motion forward!

I actually adore revisions, once I get over the initial emotional shock and conviction that I must have written the worst. book. ever. :D But they're exhausting, I think because they involve more front-of-the-brain work while writing new stuff comes partly from the place I call "the girls in the basement" who seem to do the heavy lifting. ;)

But I'm nearly done. Maybe today, maybe tomorrow. And I haz a cover!

Liz - It's okay. You will make it shine. :D

107 words last night on Oubliette. Big job took most of my brainpower, unfortunately. 16k total for the month, 55k in draft — I'll take it!
