What does the general public think Urban Fantasy is about?

When I think urban fantasy I think:

1) of a city with fantasy creatures living in it alongside humans

2) a woman in leather pants with her back to the viewer, sporting some abstract, glowing tattoos

3) a MG or YA book with kids learning about their wizardly or witching powers.

Mine has none of those elements, can I still sell it to you?

Added edit - this is a hypothetical question as the book concerned is not published

Apparently part of the confused definition is publishers themselves.

Because urban fa is over saturated and has a bad rep ATM, urban fa books are now routinely repackaged as Contemporary Fantasy or some other sub genre.

IME genre names and definitions change all the time. Publishers are constantly tuning their marketing, based not only on what is selling today, but on what they think will be selling tomorrow. It's less confusion than constant flux.

Well, my book takes place in an urban setting, but doesn't involve any romances with supernatural creatures. I feel like I should find another genre for my book, too, but "speculative fantasy" doesn't really fit it well. I wonder whether there's a genre for apocalyptic/post-apocalyptic novels. I do have some of that going on.

Often you'll find that subgenre in the horror section, as well as fantasy, depending on how dark it gets.

I have also found that there is some confusion about Paranormal/Paranormal Romance and Urban Fantasy, and much of it tends to split down gender lines. If the author is female folks will assume it's PNR. And because some of the big names in early Urban Fantasy were women, the assumption is that PNR is actually Urban Fantasy and is therefore vampire sex. (Obviously, these are mostly folks who have never read either but have picked up an impression based on seeing book covers or hearing someone else talk about a thing.)

Aggay B you've made an excellent point.

Facinating thread.
