Hey everyone! I'm a writer, or aspiring writer - I like to say I'm already a writer because Law of Attraction - but I've had some lulls in my writing ventures up until I started writing again a few months ago. Picking it back up and relearning my voice was a blessing. It reminded me of my true passion in life, to be a renown writer, connecting with lives all over the world with my stories, building up others to know they have the power of storytelling deep in them, too (I'm sure many of you feel the same!). I know I'm some ways away, but this is all so exciting because I've found new resources (like this forum) to push my skills and be in a community that will encourage me, teach me, and help me build, and in turn I can do the same for you guys. I know one of the next big steps for me is to SHARE my work with minds other than myself and my boyfriend haha. It's a little nerve-wracking, but also very exciting. I'm excited to read and share and learn from all of you! I've gone through and read some stories in threads and links of published work from you guys and I'm excited to read more!

My favorite genres to read are mystery, suspense, thriller, and fantasy. I love the emotions that you get from those genres. If a book has me pacing or gasping or yelling, I'm all about it haha. I also love humor and books that make you think deeply about the human condition and human connection. My big goal is to write a novel that takes people down an exciting, suspenseful, mysterious, and maybe even eerie journey.

Anyway, thanks for having me :) Cheers! :hi:

Welcome to AW. I'm a new member too, but I've already found there are friendly people here and lots of great information and resources. I'm also a mystery, thriller, and suspense fan. There is a thread here devoted to that you may want to have a look at.

Hello tny.wlf. :welcome:

I spent a year in Marquette; beautiful part of the country. Get started on reading the sticky notes in various forums. LOADS to learn! Much of it helps with novel writing (e.g. formatting manuscripts).

Thanks for the tip and welcome! It's funny, I was just googling formatting manuscripts the other day, so I'm happy to see you mention that's something I can learn here. Cheers!
