Okay, here's the scenario: a biologist working with a freelance planetary survey team is asked out on a date...by the very planet he's studying. Hilarity Ensues.
The planet, who goes by the name of "Mary", is very interested in our protagonist. However, she has a very vague idea of how human relationships work, being a sapient planet with absolutely no contact with humanity. Thus, her entire knowledge of human courtship comes from the survey team's ship and its databanks. Unfortunately, that also includes a collection of cheesy romance novels...
