Fancy Bear, the advanced hacking group researchers say is tied to the Russian government, is actively exploiting a newly revived technique that gives attackers a stealthy means of infecting computers using Microsoft Office documents

This is tied to the use of Macros, which may be embedded in attached files.

This is tied to the use of Macros, which may be embedded in attached files.
Which are disabled (with a notification) by default unless someone goes into the options and explicitly turns them back on.
