Thanks for the tip, Harlequin, and to everyone for the commiserations. It's still been a great experience. My first submission; my first rejection. Another hurdle cleared!!

So we are finally down to the last day of submissions. I expect I'll get my 'R' nearer to the end, as my submission was close to midnight.
Would be lovely to get some good news on this thread, as we still have some earlier submissions in the running - good luck to those.
Just to let you know the Angry Robot team was spotted at the Edge Lit convention today in Derby, with group of their authors in tow. So don't expect much in the way of progress in going through the remaining submissions over this last week (prep and attending).

Been a while since anyone reported any news. That last day's submissions along with events must have crunched things to a halt. Hope the robots are finding some time for themselves and not getting too stressed!

Ditto on crystalizing's comments. I suspect summer probably is slowing things down (and September is a crunch time for new releases). Best of luck to those still waiting.
Just as a quick thing, there's always hope elsewhere. A month after getting my MS1 rejected from AR, I got an offer of rep for MS2.

No guarantee of launch ever--things still might not pan out, for this or any future books. But it's a step forward and a huge relief cause querying sucks, lol.

I'm late to the party, but I didn't realize this thread existed! I submitted to AR on December 30. My novel is fantasy with a female main character, 3rd person past POV. Still waiting...
My friend, who entered on December 31st, unfortunately got a rejection this morning on his fantasy story. So maybe they're moving into Dec 31 submissions now?
