I also never heard of R&Rs from Angry Robots. Incidentally, I just signed a contract with another press after an R&R. My original submission was in December (same time I subbed to Angry Robots) but I got an R&R from them.

In this industry, persistence is key, I guess.

Thanks. This process has definitely humbled me. You have to find the people that like your writing style and story, and there's a lot of luck involved. It all started with a pitch in a writing's conference.
