I enjoyed both The Name of the Wind and Wise Man's Fear but I'm not as passionate about them as many others I've talked to are. What stands out to me is the writing style and the way the story is structured. The transitions from the tavern to the story and back really engage the reader and made me feel like I was being told his tale personally. It also made me feel like I was exploring a legend while I was reading it. The experience of reading The Name of the Wind is a lot less static than with most other books I feel.
