Wow, no answers! Yankees fan here, since the late 1970's. I share a set of season tickets with a group of former colleagues.

You betcha, and, strangely, a fan of a team with a long history of being very bad: The Philadelphia Phillies. I began to collect baseball cards as a kid in the mid 1950s, and I liked their uniforms. Been with 'em ever since. The best thing to be said about them right now is that they have the best mascot in baseball history. But there have been a couple of stretches of major success with fun players to watch, the last being 2007-2009. Right now, they boast the worst record in the major leagues, but this season is being an extended spring training for them, and there are some young players with promise. Plus they have a pile of money to spend right now. Rumors are they might go after Giancarlo Stanton, because the Marlins new owners (headed by Derek Jeter) have already signaled that they want to shed payroll. Stanton is about half their payroll, and they could get a lot of prospects in return for him. Philadelphia is loaded with outfielders, and some highly promising ones. But boy could they use Giancarlo Stanton.

Red Sox here since the early 1980s, in recent years a huge fan of Dustin Pedroia. We try to get to a game or two every year, but it's a long way from home.

Yankees, as long as I have memory. My family is a yankees family. I try to get out to games every year.

Same as others above me: Yankees, for about ten to fifteen years, I'd say. Although, baseball wasn't my favorite sport until about three years ago.

I've been a baseball fan since 1959 when we lived in Pittsburgh. Saw my first game in person in Forbes Field in 1962 when I was 8. Upper deck, right field bleachers with the great Roberto Clemente right below us on the field. Rooted for various teams over the years, enjoying the game, the great players, and the sheer beauty of the game.

Baseball has been a passion for all those years, inherited from my Dad, and passed along to my son (he's 18 now, and a high school varsity pitcher and outfielder.) I love sitting in the stands watching Brendan play - one of the great thrills of my life.

I moved to Texas in 1997, and I've been an Astros fan ever since. I love watching good baseball for many teams, especially the Astros, enjoying the many outstanding players of today, including my own kid.

But yeah, my team for 20 years, the Houston Astros, won the World Series last fall. It is always fun, sitting with the family, wife and son love it, daughter not so much, watching baseball on TV, and the rare occasions when we get to Houston and Minute Maid Park.

I've loved sports my whole life (one of my books is called A Sports Junkie), but for me, baseball is the best.

We went to a bazillion Astros games back in the days when they had those bold jerseys with the orange and yellow and navy stripes, and Art Howe breathed orange fire instead of Cheetos and Nolan Ryan was doing his thing. I adored Joe Morgan. (Still do.) I had a crush on an infielder, Glen something, who disappeared from the face of the earth.

Maybe. Let me find a picture and we'll know momentarily...

Yes! With that mustache he looks like an 80s porn star, but hey, back then lots of cool guys had 'em. His Wikipedia entry suggests he's done well for himself since retiring.
