Usually a day or so - no set time...

so a cat is closer than a color, eh? So if it's not a panther... Lessee, what other kinds of cats are there? Bobcat, cougar, cheetah, Lemurs, lions, lynx, tigers...let's just go alphabetically:

Bobcat?

Hmmm...well, based on my familiarity with the rest of the cats, methinks it'll be the lemur or lynx, because I don't think any of the others have black ears. So....50-50 chance here:

Lynx?

If this isn't it, I give up! LOL :)

I think that’s:

A Christmas Carol

something about it being rushed through publishing in time for the holidays so that’s why it sold out jogs my brain but purely a guess...

Sorry, been out of town all week:

What Pulitzer Prize winning play of 1949 featured the title character committing suicide for the insurance money?

Confession: I knew that one but didn't answer because it's hard to come up with good questions! Great play, though.

I'm gonna try asking this question again... :p

This couple of well known and highly accomplished 20th century American expatriates had a number of pet names for each other, including "Mr. and Mrs. Cuddle-Wuddle"

And we're not allowed to google it, right?

Hm. I'm not even sure they're ex-pats, but how about F. Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald?

Wasn't that Gertrude Stein and.....oh crap, I forget her partners name. Tolkein is what comes to mind, but I know that's not it...

Trotsky?

No wait....Tokskey? Crap on a stick - it's like right there.... :(

Having seen photos of Stein, it's hard to imagine her being cuddly-wuddly with anyone, or even with a baby animal. I guess love does unexpected things, huh?

That was Jem.

While the actor who played the little girl in the excellent film adaptation maintained a friendship with Gregory Peck the rest of his life, the actor who played Jem apparently didn't get along with her or Peck and would appear with them only a few times for photo shoots, insisting on being paid for each.

Yup!

Very cool - guess that was kind of a softball question given your added depth of knowledge there Maryn, but regardless, your turn! :)

Uh-oh, this is the hard part!

Hm. Who is the narrator in the Sherlock Holmes books and stories?
