Yeah, but I think we can rebuild. It'll take some time and some recruiting.

I'm missing our annual pavlova and weather discussions. So allow me to just say it's stinking hot here today, and I will shortly be diving into a delicious piece of my mum's pav. (Fruit of choice: strawberries and kiwi with a passionfruit drizzle).

We had pav Christmas day! (usually don't)

Plus Pav is doing the tennis on nine.

Pav's doing the tennis?!? Just ... why?! Did the honchos at Nine think, "We really need diversity in our new commentary team! I know! Let's get a footballer!"

Meanwhile, the temp here is rapidly approaching a point where I'm considering turning on the air con. Or drinking some kind of iced beverage. Or possibly both.

I hope Pujara gets his 200, he deserves it. Then he can go out posthaste.

Soooo close to being caught on 192. His brick-wall-like patience is admirable (and exactly what the Aussie batsmen are missing), but jeez does it make for boring viewing.

He's allowed to do some interviews. Including those annoying ones they do on the sidelines in between points, where they whisper. They might be grooming him for all-rounding a la Basil. EEK!

I thought Roger Rasheed had life tenure for that role.

I'm still mentally struggling to adjust to 7 = cricket and 9 = tennis. Keep hitting the wrong buttons on the remote!

Plus out here in the sticks 9 and 10 swapped, so 9 used to be 8 but is now 5, and 10 used to be 5 but is now 8. That happened a few months back but I'm still converting, like when we went farenheit to celsius. Speaking of which, it's bloody hot.

Lol. That's like me whenever Foxtel does a channel number reshuffle (it happens quite frequently). So annoying.

And yah, it's hot. I've opted for a chilled beverage, but am contemplating using the key my neighbour (stupidly) left me yesterday (they've gone away for a couple of weeks) to let myself in and use their pool.

We did indeed. We'll be lucky to have them all out for 550 at this rate. My guess is we'll get ~ 231.

Well, I didn't have to. But that seemed to be the tipping point at which my house's insulation couldn't cut it anymore.

Thankfully, it sounds like there's a cool change on its way.
