I attended the Palm Springs (CA) Writers Guild annual Desert Writers Expo and it was really nice. A host of writers offered their books for sale so I got to meet and talk with a lot of local authors. I promised myself I'd buy three books and ended up with four.
I bought --
"Lest We Forget" by Marjorie Anne Snell about her husband who was a 101st Airborne Paratrooper in World War Two and jumped into Normandy, Operation Market Garden and the Battle of the Bulge.
"A Pilot, First, Last and Always" by Vaughn Denning who had a 32-year career beginning in 1942 and who piloted 45 different types of aircraft from biplanes to a Mach 2 jet fighter.
"Advanced Kindle Book Marketing" by Lucinda Sue Crosby and Laura Dobbins.
"Author Platforms, How To Market Books" by Crosby and Dobbins.
I did not know any of the authors, I bought the books because they looked to be interesting and informative reading.
Authors in the Palm Springs area should check out the Writer's Guild. They meet monthly except in the really hot months.
