It's cold and rainy here. The ground is frozen so we've got flooding.

I'm on hold right now with the state government. It took me several times to get through because of the high call volume so they kept dropping my call. Now that I've gotten through, I can sit on hold forever, until somebody answers.

We've had our share of rain and flooding around here too, and we're set to get more tomorrow. In fact, there's a chance of rain for the next four days. Today was our only respite.

We had some rain, but moms had some snow ... just enough to cover the ground and immediately melt.

wow. I just went outside to look at the flooding. Yeah, there's a lot of it.

I finally go through to somebody and it's insane what happened, but hopefully they'll do something now. The paperwork I faxed in over two weeks ago has been sitting unprocessed all this time. The woman I spoke with processed it while on the phone with me, and now one of two things will happen. 1) They will release my money and I'll get paid or 2) They'll schedule a hearing for the appeal and send me a letter telling me when the phone call will be. I'm really hoping they just go with #1 and get it over with.

We all hope that Ted.

I blurve you guys so much, I'm gonna post some food pron.

This is my first attempt at a no-bake cheese cake.

I'm giving all of it to my neighbor for all the help he's given me. I owe him more than just stuff from my kitchen but this is the best I can do right now. Besides, he said his girlfriend loves blueberries and I love flirting with her. So it's win/win.

ETA: My bestie sent me some money so I can keep my internet from being shut off in a couple of days. I'm truly lucky as hell because despite all of the crap going on, people have been there for me.

Dern you Ted and all them food pics. Well, I'm glad things are at least moving along, even if way too slowly.

Glad you’re gonna have Internet, Ted.

I feel bad for all you guys dealing with weather issues. I really do.

Can someone rub this sunscreen on my back for me?

Yeppers. had snow over the weekend. Kids were playing in it. Built snowmen.
Rain on Monday in the 60s.
Sunny today high of 78.
Tomorrow high 66, low of 32, occasional slush storms...

It's like, well... it's like March.

Good morning, house of whether

or not.

Raining here. We had a horribly hot wind last Friday - sort of Santa Anna type of thing - then a furious thunder storm. It's been overcast with rain on and off ever since. Given the dreadful drought Cape Town and the Western Cape are having, we're not complaining. At least it isn't cold. :)

We'll be driving down to Port Elizabeth tomorrow for our first major shopping trip. So many things you can't get here in the boonies and what you can get, is ridiculously expensive. I also Googled the fabric shops, bead shops and book shops. So I know where they are!!! :snoopy:

Ted, I'm holding thumbs, toes, everything, that your grant comes though asap! You've been through the wringer and it's enough now. :Hug2:

:D

Gail, it sounds like you've been having a great time. I'd love to check out the various farmer's markets you have in your area, as well as the fish markets, etc. I love those kinds of things.

I hope you guys get some more rain in the places that need it.

I'm really hoping things go well, too. Sadly, it's going to take more patience on my part.

On the plus side, a friend commissioned a short story from me. She wants me to write a ghost story. I know exactly the story I want to tell and now I just need to figure out how to tell it.

It's just something to do, and besides, in Pittsburgh no one can hear you scream.

it gets drowned out by all the other screams.
