Hi everyone,

I'm John, British, and a retired ship's captain, living in York (the old one)

I write Historicals, and have finished my first book (85k words). I'm still trying to find an agent in the conventional way, but if I have no success, I'll self-publish on Amazon Create Space this summer.

I am a member of both the Historical Novel Society and the Romantic Novelists Association.

Oh, and I get Writers Block a lot.

I am very active on Twitter and Facebook Note though, I do NOT buy friends or followers.

I don't read much in the way of non-fiction, but I hope to see you around the forums.

I feel your pain about the Block. My muse is fickle; the same happens to me whenever she takes off on vacation.
