I "wrote" another negative 1500 words this week. Didn't quite trim things down below the 100K mark, but I'm close enough, and it's time to be done.

Despite heavy wildfire smoke in our valley I managed to get the advance reader copies out and the book is up for pre-order!

Now to write the next one. By the time the sale goes live on Nov 1, I hope to have the first three chapters of the second book ready as a reader magnet to encourage people to sign up for my mailing list.

I've actually gotten a lot done this weekend. I wrote about 6K in chapter outlines and character profiles and I should be ready to begin writing the novel by Monday or Tuesday. I hope.

First time poster here.

Coming out of the weekend, I’m showing 47,000 words or 86 pages, which is a combination of actual writing and freestyle brain-dump of what the scene will be like. I don't know what the latter is called; something of an extended outline? I needed a name for the word processor style so I called it a sketch. It doesn't count notes such as character information and timeline.

I’m not sure how much of that I wrote this week; but next week I’ll be able to note the delta against this figure.
