With all the other word games here, the commonality is coming up with your own new words in response to something. Let's twist things up a bit, and see if you can identify the origin of some words (specifically words in song).

I'll call it Name Those Lyrics!

Here's the Rules:

1. Lyrics must be limited to one significant line of a song.
2. The responder must (without using Google, we're on the honor system here) identify both the Artist and the Song Title.
3. Responder then replies with his or her own new one line of lyrics for someone else to respond with.

For instance, if I were to say:

"Suckin on chili dogs outside the Tastee-Freez"

The responder would say:

John Cougar - Jack n Diane

"I am the maker of rules, dealing with fools"

The goal here is to see how many song lyrics you know, and of course, get songs from your past to tease your mind incessantly for the rest of the day!

Since the quoted lyrics are not answered, that'll be for the next responder:

I am the maker of rules, dealing with fools

Eye In The Sky, Alan Parsons Project

(This is hard--am I trying to stump you? Because I know a lot of obscure music.)

I'll give you an easy one.

"You can have my isolation, you can have the hate that it brings"

Pink Floyd - Money

(I almost prefer Dark Side of the Moon to The Wall myself...)

"He's licking his lips, he's ready to win, on the hunt tonight for love at first sting..."

Yoda! I knew it was a Weird Al tune, but was drawing a blank on the title, which is pretty pathetic given my avatar...nicely played! :)

Garden Party - Marillion

"Let it rock me slow while I sleep below"

Hmmm, musta been too obscure. It was Sails, by Steve Wariner.

A slightly easier one:

I've seen a million faces, and I've rocked them all..."

Oh geez, I don't know this one. Ok, that means you get to go again if no one replies in 24 hours (and you get a rep point from me - score!) :)

I'll go now, so the thread doesn't get held up any longer. :) It was "Arthur's Theme" by Christopher Cross.

I think this should be easy:

Know it's you against you
It's the paradox that drives us on

Don Henley - Boys of Summer. One of my all-time favourite songs. :)

You've got to run to win
And I'll be damned if I'll get hung up on the line

Something wrong with me inherently?

It's still "Eye in the Sky" - Alan Parsons Project (LOL - look at your first post. You must really like that song!)
